After graduating from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Soka University in Tokyo, Sonia began her career in the financial sector. She initially worked as an Adminstrative Officer in the Chairman’s Office of Mr. Li Ka-shing. She then spent six years at HSBC under the COO's umbrella including job roles at IT, Communications and HR. Sonia also played a pivotal role in establishing a Type 9 asset management company under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission for the family of Mr. Deng Xiaoping, building it from the ground up.



In November 2022, Sonia transitioned into the entertainment industry and became an actress. She began with background roles, quietly honing her craft. After a year of dedication, she started landing featured roles with speaking parts.



Some of her most memorable experiences include performing alongside two members of the popular male pop group, Mirror, in various productions; portraying a patient to assist medical students at The Hong Kong University with their clinical exams; and filming alongside international superstar Donnie Yen.
